We’re Dan and Eric, the co-founders of Ownwell, a company we started in March 2024 to help mortgage and real estate professionals empower their clients to build wealth through homeownership 🏠.

As a recent first-time homebuyer 🔑, I (Dan) realized I needed better information to optimize my biggest investment. I wanted to understand my options for managing home equity and when my wife and I could afford a larger home. I was also disappointed with the lack of personalized, relevant communication from our broker, lender, and realtor.

That’s when I connected with Eric, a fellow aspiring entrepreneur who specialized in building products that drive repeat and referral business for small businesses 💪. Together, we saw an opportunity to solve both problems. We envisioned a client engagement platform that provides homeowners with valuable information while keeping their mortgage and real estate professionals top of mind.

Our mission is to help Canada’s 10 million homeowners make smarter financial decisions. We’re starting with mortgage brokers and plan to expand later this year, allowing brokers to invite their realtor partners to join Ownwell.
